Yencha Property

Mary F. Yencha, a resident of the Town of Wright, left this 92 acre property as a legacy to the land trust in 2021.  The land is a mix of open fields and second growth woods and includes a large home and outbuildings.  There are also two ponds and interesting geology with cliffs along two sides of the property.  Although the land is not presently farmed, it contains excellent soils of statewide significance.  The easement on the property provides for future agricultural activity if an owner decides to do so. 

The land trust sold this property concurrent with a perpetual easement which will protect the conservation values of the land going forward.
